dealhunter_dan Now £39.99, reduced from £131.86 — 70% off. A classic hand-woodworking set in a fitted wooden box for the price of a single decent plane.
The kit pairs a No.4 smoothing plane for finishing with a 60½ block plane for end grain and small areas. A 230mm try square gives you a reliable 90° reference, a 230mm sliding bevel transfers angles for dovetail work, and the combined mortice-and-marking gauge lays out scribe lines and mortice-and-tenon joints. Tools are built from hardwood, brass and steel and come in a hinged wooden case.
Add a saw and a few chisels and you have a proper traditional joinery setup — great for an enthusiast or apprentice.
